A Puerto Rican | Peruvian Design Student who values the importance of communication, culture, and family. Not only do I appreciate my own Latino Heritage but as an International Baccalaureate and UC Darwin T. Turner scholar I have been taught and continue to appreciate the importance of a diverse perspective and an open mind. The ability to understand the importance of identity is how I as a designer can design in a more meaningful and thoughtful way.

LOOKING AHEAD

I have ambitious dreams, but sometimes it's hard to see them clearly when adversity or distractions get in the way. When this happens, and I get lost, I close my eyes and remember. I remember where I’m from, who raised me, and how I got to where I am today. Looking to the past, reflecting and appreciating history has allowed me to be better prepared to look ahead and make intentional and meaningful decisions. I do this as a human and I do this as a designer.
